SCHMIDT type Test Hammer is used for non-destructive testing of concrete Measuring range of this device for testing compressive strength of concrete is 10 to 70 N/mm² (below 25 N/mm² type P is better suited) and Impact energy = 2,207 Nm.
Rebound values can be observed from a mechanical sliding scale.

It has a spring-controlled hammer mass which slides on a plunger enclosed in a tubular housing.
